GILBERT, Ariz. – Forty-eight honorees have been selected to the Go Play Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) High School All-American Teams, as announced on Monday.
Each of the 10 regions were represented with at least one player on the All-American Teams. Pennsylvania led all regions with 11 selections to the All-American Teams, while New Jersey followed with nine. New York and the South Regions notched five selections apiece while Massachusetts and the Midwest Regions each totaled four. The Mid-Atlantic, West and Northern New England Regions had three selections each while Southern New England notched one.
Fourteen players made the All-American Team after also being selected to the squad in 2016. Sky Caron and Ali McCarthy were each selected to the first team for the third year in a row, while Gabby Andretta also made the All-American squad for the third straight season. Greer Gill, Caroline Hanan, Katie Jean and Josie Varney were repeat first-team selections.
