Longstreth/NFHCA Division II Weekly Award Winners Announced

GILBERT, Ariz. - Saint Anselm senior forward Emma Kincaid and Southern New Hampshire junior goalkeeper Melanie Renne have been selected as the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II weekly award winners for competition from Oct. 23-29, it was announced on Wednesday.

Honorable mention status went to Bellarmine sophomore forward Merit Harris.

Offensive Player of the Week

Emma Kincaid, Saint Anselm Sr., F, West Bridgewater, Mass./West Bridgewater

Kincaid notched two goals and two assists to lead Saint Anselm to a pair of wins last week that capped a 17-1 record in the regular season. Kincaid netted two goals in a top-ten matchup as Saint Anselm pulled out a 3-2 win over Stonehill, and then tallied a pair of assists in a 9-0 victory against American International.

Defensive Player of the Week

Melanie Renne, Southern New Hampshire Jr., GK, Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand

Renne recorded 10 saves to lead Southern New Hampshire to a scoreless regulation and overtime against Saint Michael's, and then stopped all five stroke-off attempts to lift her squad to a 1-0 victory. She also had nearly 50 scoreless minutes in goal against Southern Connecticut State before being lifted with a comfortable lead.

Honorable Mention

Merit Harris, Bellarmine So., F, Louisville, Ky./Ballard

Harris netted four goals and an assist in a pair of wins for the Knights last week.
